Meet the E.A.S.E team

In the second of our Meet the Team series, let us introduce you to our operations manager, Adam. We’ve asked Adam to tell us about himself and his role, providing some insight into why he chose a career in site engineering.

Tell us about yourself

I’m Adam, and I’m employed as an operations manager. In Poland, I completed my master’s from the University of Technology of Zielona Góra in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department within the technology and construction organisation.

Outside of work, I like to spend my time listening to quality music and engaging in fishing.

How long have you worked in the construction industry?

I began my career with Rob, the director of E.A.S.E, in 2013, starting as a graduate engineer and progressing through various stages of my professional growth until I reached the position of operations manager.

My journey in the construction sector began at the age of 15 during my summer breaks. I also had the opportunity to work in Poland as an engineer in an office, specializing in CAD and civil engineering, and later served as the director of a medium-sized company focused on building insulation.

What made you want to be a site engineer?

I’ve always found pleasure in working on construction sites, appreciating the precision required for this role.

What do you enjoy about your job?

I have a knack for solving problems and thrive on the challenges presented at construction sites.

What is your favourite thing about your job?

Interacting with new individuals and exploring different places are aspects I enjoy.

Do you have any favourite moments from your time as a site engineer?

My most memorable project was the construction of the Whitlingham sewage treatment works in Norfolk. This involved constructing a 45m FST (final sedimentation tank), a compactor pit, a wash water pumping station, and the site-wide pipe and ductwork.

What would you say to someone considering a site engineering role?

I would highly recommend entering the construction industry, as it offers a great opportunity for young individuals to enhance their skills and learn how to operate efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
