Supporting the World’s Largest Monopile Facility

Our highly skilled site engineers supported the construction project for the world’s largest monopile manufacturing facility for offshore wind turbines.

Project Duration:

From October 2022-December 2023

Project Goal:

Ground stabilisation for constructing the world’s largest monopile manufacturing facility.

Main Work Scope:

  • Ground stabilisation using pre-bore rigs, CFA rigs, and casement pile rigs.
  • Installation of over 6,000 piles, which form the foundation of the manufacturing facility.

Site Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Bauer and Keller to operate piling rigs.
  • Setting out and verifying pile positions.
  • Conducting as-built surveys of pile locations.
  • Completing daily reports on pile installations.

Other Stakeholders:

  • SeAH Wind: The main client for the monopile manufacturing facility.
  • K2 Construction Management: Overseeing project management and coordination.
  • Bauer: Providing piling rigs and expertise.
  • Keller: Specialising in ground engineering and pile installation

Additional Details:

  • The facility aims to manufacture monopiles for offshore wind turbines.
  • The project represents a significant investment in renewable energy infrastructure in the UK.
